to start, we have the basic rules as any other comm these days: no blurring, bullying, or ooc harassment; be friendly and respectful to your fellow writers (and to the mods, please!) if you ever need anything, please feel free to reach out to us. we're here to help! any communication between the mod team and members is confidential.

we're an 18+ community, which means we welcome adult themes, including nsfw content and storylines. we ask that you be respectful of others, always use trigger warnings and cut tags for sensitive content, and err on the side of caution: ask writers ooc before involving them in adult themed storylines!

to apply, you'll need an ooc or ic username, a friends only post, and a screened ooc post that contains a bio for your character. we're accepting bios in leiu of examples, so we want to see a bio of 150 words or more. this can include personality, likes/dislikes, facts, or any other information about your character: it doesn't just have to be their history!

once you're set up, comment the application post and make sure to request membership. if your app is deleted, that means your app was rejected, and we aren't obligated to field questions about why.

intros upon being added, you'll need to intro by the next set of adds to avoid being removed. adds are monday/wednesday/friday, so you'll have at least 48 hours to intro!

updates every month, members will have to post at least two updates in their journals. one should be an interactive update (think social posts, ffas, discussions, anything with comments open!) and the other can be interactive or creative (i.e. a narrative or other ooc character exploration). we encourage you to post more than twice a month, but that's the baseline! members added after the 15th will be required to provide one update, members added before will have to provide both.

friends list you must update your friends list once a week: if your fl is more than 7 days out of date, you'll be eligible for override. we feel like this is a fair way to eliminate dead weight: if you're not able to log in once a week, you're also not likely to be able to contribute to the comm activity in a meaningful way.

apps are not allowed here at 405, and we ask that you not list app usernames in your screened posts or solicit app usernames from other members. if we get a complaint about anyone peddling apps, you will be removed.

overrides will be decided on a case-by-case basis, so message us if you're interested in checking on the eligiblity of a pb. to be considered for override, a character must be violating one of these rules:

• they haven't made an intro post within 48 hours of being added
• their friends list is more than 7 days out of date
• they haven't responded to any of the comments on their intro post
